Aesthetic of today – clear and perfect.
Impressive design is combined with modern manufacturing on the award-winning Wogg 50 chair by Swiss company Wogg. The result is a chair of the latest generation: weightless, stackable and versatile.
The design of Wogg 50 comes from Jörg Boner. The construction of the chair is simple and clear: a seating surface curved to four sides supports the legs on both exterior sides as well as the backrest. Moulded plywood shapes the aesthetic of the chair.
Plywood moulding is an old technique which has developed remarkably in recent years with the arrival of CNC milling technology. Complex mould pieces are laid into the moulding tool and can be pressed directly with the plywood. New opportunities for moulding and constructing have thus arisen, which Wogg 50 makes use of.
The constructive centrepiece of the Wogg 50 chair is the moulded core under the seat shell. For its perfect design and practical advantages, the Wogg 50 chair won the Red Dot Design Award in 2011 as well as the interior innovation award.
The Wogg 50 chair from Swiss company Wogg is available in many colours.
