Rock 'n' Roll...
The object and seating piece of furniture series Sassi has been designed by Piero Gilardi in 1968.
Sassi is a stone and a seat at the same time. Its unusual form has been transported in an unusual usage possibility as a piece of furniture. Its Pop-Art Design brings a piece of durability in every home, since also if everything circulates around it; it offers security to the eye and something to hold on to. And thereby it is not as unmovable as the viewer might think: with only 6.5 kg of weight, the visual safety anchor can fast change its place.
The Sassi series consists of polyurethane, lacquered with guflac. The series includes a total of three pieces – the huge stool Sedilasso, as well as two further small stones (Sasso medio and Sasso piccolo) – whereby there emerge possibilities of shaping a whole sitting ambience with this unexpectedly comfortable stones.
The gufram Sassi series is also usable outside because of their waterproof and weatherproof material.
