Brendan Ravenhill was inspired by the functional beauty of handicraft devices for the Wall Clamp shelf; more precisely he was inspired by the classic vice. The designer found the perfect symbiosis of form and function fascinating, as well as the development of a patina after continued use. Wall Clamp is his own interpretation of a vice that becomes an unusual wall shelf.
The Wall Clamp by Areaware consists of two screw clamps that can be attached to the wall at the distances you desire. A wooden board can now be placed on top and screwed on and voilà! You have a wall shelf. Wall Clamp can, for example, also be used as a bookshelf if books are inserted between the vices instead of a wooden panel.
Areaware manufactures the Wall Clamp from cast iron and beech wood. The wooden shelf itself is not included.
