Elegant Coffee Table with a Filigree Frame
The Palette table JH8 by &tradition is a design of the Spanish designer Jaime Hayon. The design originates from the idea to put static objects in motion. Hayon reached the desired dynamics through a three-tier table-top model, inspired by the kinetic sculptures of Alexander Calder. Like at a mobile, the levels seem to revolve around each other, creating an impression of lightness and elegance.
Mix of Materials: Marble, Wood and Brass
Different shapes, materials and colours result in a kind of collage, whose levels are connected by an architecturally-looking metal frame in steel.
A round plate made of brass serves as the base, which is topped by a coloured glazed oak plate in kidney form. A small, elongated pedestal made of marble forms the upper top and complements the colour ensemble.
With a playful approach, Hayon creates an object that passes as work of art, rather than a piece of furniture. Nevertheless, the JH8 perfectly integrates in modern as well as classical interiors and ensures a compositionally impressive eye-catcher in every living room.
