Transform Flip from a key board in the entrance into a table for the coffee break or in a surprising comfortable stool with only a few handgrips. A new multifunctional piece of furniture which will serve well everywhere in the house, as if it was the butler you always wanted to have.
The tray is very flexible and therefore ideally suitable to be used as helper and butler for drinks, snacks and more, being easily transported, since the tray isn’t fixed to the frame.
If the table top is flipped around, the wooden handles become part of the frame, whereby the tray becomes a beautiful side table looking like a stool.
Flip Around was created by the Danish designer duo Norm, including Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen and Kasper Rønn, made out of sophisticated ash wood and plastic. A mix of modern and classic – different inspiration sources and aesthetic elements make up a big part of the design here.
The designers about Flip Around:
Jonas: „Flip Around is multifunctional and the inspiration is also very „multicultural“.
Kasper: „The design itself is simple and minimalistic. That’s the main idea: take it everywhere in the house, it will suit every purpose.
Jonas: „But the most important inspiration source for this design was something much more robust, more precisely the French industrial chairs and also the classic tradition of Danish wardrobes production. The assembly system of Flip Around is influenced by Chinese and Korean architecture, which is known for the use of wooden dowels instead of nails and screws to connect the pieces.”
Kasper: „Flip Around is real Multi-Design: multifunctional, multinational and multi-inspired.“
