The approach of an expressive artist played key role in the design of Prometheus. The result is an outstanding design by Frans Schrofer, who with Prometheus has created a combination of natural shapes, poetry and rhythm.
The Prometheus fireplace by Safretti combines ball-shaped and hollow aluminium. Its outside is split into an upper and lower half. The flames burn right in the middle of this sculpture, which even without fire is a fascinating sight.
The fireplace was named after the Greek god Prometheus, who stole the other gods’ fire and gave it to humans. The round model invokes the feeling of wanting to share, says Frans Schrofer, designer of the fireplace.
Safretti offers a whole series of fireplaces under the name Prometheus. They vary in shape, colour and amount of flames. Prometheus is available in a long oval shape (PG & PB), oval (EG & EB) or round (RG & RB). There’s also an oval version, which has two flame chambers (OG & OB), as well as a grey bowl bottom for all finishes (PG, EG, RG, OG).
To light the Safretti Prometheus fireplace we recommend bio-ethanol.
