Thanks to the Rosenthal miniature collection, the Fast Vase from the studio-line series now is also available as miniature version. It reflects the image of the Ming dynasty typical vase, frozen in digital time lapsing.
A mixture of collective memory and futuristic abstraction symbolises the cultural shift, triggered by digital technology: the speed of information processing, its obsolescence and its secession. The miniature vase Fast illustrates this process just like the large versions.
The time-lapse effect is expressed by the metaphorical decoration of the vase, while on the other hand, displayed by high-tech tools, 500 years of human manufacture are grouped together.
A fascinating interpretation of the social changes of our time and a further outstanding object of the Rosenthal studio line, designed by the Frenchman Cédric Ragot. In 2007, the Fast vase was awarded with the renowned Good Design Award of the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design.
