The Alba Vase by Design House Stockholm merges the border between art and everyday objects. The unusual shape of the porcelain vase with soft curves is vaguely reminiscent of a human body whose waist is accentuated by a leather belt with shiny buckle. A fancy vase with sculptural charm.
Vase with leather belt
The brown leather belt and its buckle represent a successful contrast to the simple white porcelain of the vase. "(...) I use the belt as a symbol for an act of encounter and for defining the formless and rapidly changing world in which we currently live." Anna Kraitz, for example, talks about the belt motif, which - together with button and plait patterns - can be found in many of her designs.
Flower vase for long-stemmed flowers
As a flower vase, the Alba Vase presents bouquets of all kinds. The unusual shape and the belt as a special detail make Alba a unique decoration object, even without a flower arrangement, which skilfully attracts attention. In the vase, which measures 24 cm in height, particularly long-stemmed flowers are skillfully displayed.
