The artist Arik Levy was inspired by his own paintings and sculptures when he designed his carpets series for Ruckstuhl. The Landscape carpet has an exciting structure with a three-dimensional effect.
Levy himself spoke about his collection, including the Crack and Landscape carpets: ”For this project, I use fibers to reflect my works of art and paintings. The third dimension for me is important - it is created with carpet and fibers, microarchitecture as well as light and shadows. Most of my sculptures and paintings are sharp and angular, whereas the landscape carpet has a softness that soothes edges, colors and emotions. The work is supposed to represent the combination of imperfect geometry and intimacy, hoping to create a springboard for all those who dare to understand their own minds and memories.” (freely translated)
Ruckstuhl manufactures the Landscape carpet out of 95% pure new wool and 5% viscose. The exciting structure carpet is also available in a black-red edition as well as in different sizes.
