The artist Arik Levy was inspired by his own pictures and sculptures when he designed his carpets series for Ruckstuhl. The Landscape carpet has an exciting structure with three-dimensions effect.
Levy himself explained about his collection, including the Crack and Landscape carpets: ”I use fibres to reflect my artworks and paintings in this project. The third dimension which unifies the carpet with fibres, microarchitecture as well as light and shadows is important for me. Most of my sculptures and paintings have been drawn sharp and edged, contrasting the Landscape carpet, which is soft, relaxing the colours, edges and feelings. The work should represent the connection of non-perfect geometry and intimacy, hoping to be a springboard for all of those that dare the step to an own understanding of memory and keepsake.”
Ruckstuhl manufactures the Landscape carpet out of 95% pure new wool and 5% viscose. The exciting structure carpet is also available in a black-red edition as well as in different sizes.
