The Panton rug by Verpan appears with the typical virtues by the Danish designer Verner Panton: Besides the characteristic, graphically bribing design by Panton, also the material selection mirrors its quality.
Most of the people only know Verner Panton as furniture designer. But this is too short, since the Danish also created numerous home textiles (for example for Kvadrat and Bayer), which don’t rank behind his furniture designs. The appearance of his Panton rug comes from the textile “Grande”, which he designed in 1975.
The two-colour motive of the Verpan Panton rug plays with organic forms that are created by geometric patterns: The graphic looks natural and logical at the same time, facets rich and still reduced. But not only the motive is noble: The rug consists of 100% high quality sheep wool out of New Zealand and it is hand tufted.
Verpan offers the rug by Verner Panton in two colours (dark purple/ light grey and brown/sand).
