Embroidered Decorative Cushions
In addition to his skills as a furniture, graphics, exhibition and interior designer, Alexander Girard was especially well-known for his contributions in the field of textile design. For the legendary Miller House, Girard designed a wide-range of architectural details, including the living room’s “conversation pit” – a sunken seating area with built-in sofas covered in fabrics by Girard and decorated with specially prepared, embroidered cushions.
Cushions with Down Filling
The Home Sweet Home cushion was brought out as a tribute to the extraordinary design. The motif was chosen by Vitra in collaboration with the Girard family, among the wide variety of patterns created by Alexander Gerard. The pleasantly firm embroidered cushion made of high quality twill brings a modern and cheerful touch with the colourful inscriptions. The duck half down filling ensures great comfort.
With dimensions of 30 x 40 cm, the cushion is ideally suited as a decorative sofa pillow or a cosy eye-catcher on the bed.
