The world of cushions was enlarged by an original and innovative creation with the “Vien” pillowcases designed by Mika Barr. The classic, geometric pattern comes out of the traditional two-dimensions and becomes a unique, shaping surface.
The Israeli textiles designer Mika Barr is known for her unusual designs, which are presented in numerous museums. Marvelling glimpses are also granted with Vein: The folding effect, which makes the Mika Barr cushion Vein such special, comes from the structure of the textile: The edges of the pattern are foldable, making it look exceptional. The contrastive seams even emphasize the visual effect.
Mika Barr produces the Vein pillowcases of viscose and polyester. The characteristic quality of the material is completely unfolded if the cushions aren’t filled with tension. Despite of the originality, the 3D pillowcase also has some traditional advantages: It is washing machine safe and also available in further colours, as well as rectangular edition.
