Many of the great architects and designers of the 20th
century concentrated on designing textiles and transforming their ideas of colour, shape and material. The New York-based textile company Maharam has rereleased some of the most important designs as high-quality furniture materials that are true to the original in terms of colour and fabric. The Maharam Small Dot Pattern Document cushion was designed by Charles & Ray Eames.
It is made of down and polyurethane foam. The sofa and seat cushions from the ‘Textiles of the 20th Century’ series by Vitra are an ideal complement to the furniture by Charles & Ray Eames, George Nelson and Verner Panton, though also provide accents in contemporary or classic interiors.
