Tradition with new designs: The Ruckstuhl On its way carpet was inspired by screenshot video-processing programs.
The numbers at the upper end of the carpet is the coordination number of Chang’An, the city at the east end of the Silk Road. The numbers below and on the left side of the coordinates of Chang’An are the distances – in different unities – between Chang’An and Istanbul. This city might not have been at the Silk Road, but it is exceptionally important for the Turkish-Britain designer Hussein Chalayan, who created the On its way carpet. The numbers on the bottom are finally the coordinates of Istanbul, which is the long way illustrated by the carpet, which was gone by his ancestors by feet.
The colours of the Ruckstuhl On its way are as modern as the idea behind the design. Ruckstuhl manufactures the On its way out of 100% pure new wool. The modern carpet is also available in other sizes.
