If you want to design a seat cushion for choosen chair classics of the 20th century, then there is no way around the legendary Ant of Arne Jacobsen. The chair evolved first in 1952 at Fritz Hansen and advanced after some complications at the beginning to one of the highlights of the exclusive Danish furniture manufacturer.
Because of that it is logic that the German business Hey Sign, had designed together with other cushions for Fritz Hansen- and Vitra-classics, a cushion made of nice felt for the Ant, which copes with its minimalistic appearance to the high design demand of the chair. For extra comfort is the anti-slippery cover, which guarantees the seat ends a strong hold.
The excellence of the material, which is renewable and with that it is especially environmentally friendly, are known with the Hey Sign. Since 1999 the company worked with felt and has with that a chick collection, which always grows.
The production of felt as well as production or all the Hey Sign products is „Made in Germany“, the completion of the products is even „handmade“. The used felt material consists of pure new wool 100% without any chemicals or recycled textiles, which is documented by the known wool seal. Hey Sign is the first and only felt factory whose products have been certified according to the strict policy “The Woolmark Company”.
Hey Sign offers the cushions out of felt with and without anti-skid coating, as well as in many different colours. Moreover there are also double-cushions (two cushions seamed together) available with and without filling material.
