Products designed by Karim Rashid, like for example the wastebasket “Garbo", have become design icons and echo world-wide in collections of museums.
Already since 1996, the manufacturer Umbra produces the wastebasket Garbo quite successful. It was the first product that Karim Rashid designed for Umbra and it counts as one of the most sold articles of the canadian company.
1997 the Garbino trash can was awarded with the Good Design (USA) together with the bigger Garbo Can and the smaller Garbini Can. Today you will find him among other things in permanent showrooms in MoMA, New York, Brooklyn Museum of Art, Chicago Athenaeum Museum or the Montreal Museum of Decorative Arts.
The twisting and rolling Garbino consists of nonbreakable- and shock proof polypropylene. It is available in different colours.
