In 1959, mono-a revolutionised tables across the world. Doing away with all design elements that otherwise belonged to the sumptuous presentation of table settings was a milestone on the way to modern industrial design of everyday objects.

The mono-a cutlery, designed by Prof. Peter Raacke, was originally punched from a single piece of stainless steel, a so-called monoblock, thus giving it the remarkable, industrial name. Today the knife is made from two different types of steel: the handle is made from rust-free stainless steel and the blade from high-quality hardened steel.

What in 1959 was avant-garde, has in the mean time become a classic in table culture, as mono-a combines elegant design with the highest manufacturing quality. Numerous awards and exhibitions in several countries have made the mono-a cutlery well-known.

Today it is the most-sold German post-war designer cutlery.Under the mono-a dessert/coffee cutlery offered here, you’ll find cutlery for the coffee table, including, for example, coffee spoons, dessert forks or cake servers.
