The Timo Sarpaneva drinking glasses from Design House Stockholm are classic drinking glasses with a capacity of 33 cl, suitable for juice, water and other drinks. The bottom is tapered and fits in both small and large hands.
Professor Timo Sarpaneva was convinced that even a simple everyday object possesses architectural qualities.
In many of his designs, which have been displayed in museums around the whole world, glass is molded instead of pulled and blown, just like the Timo Sarpaneva drinking glass.
“Glass is the finest of all materials. The possibility of working with it, and the kind of molding it allows is unique. It transforms into a crystal object out of a gooey mass. It is moody and difficult, a material that lives many lives.”
