Aalto means wave. So it seems only natural that Aino Aalto the wife of the famous architect and designer Alvar Aalto, was inspired by waves to create her glass vessels. The "Aino" glass series was created as early as 1932 and was initially called "Bölgeblick", which describes the waves that a pebble thrown into the water leaves on the surface.
The functional and timeless simplicity of the glasses still has a modern and contemporary effect today. The products of the Aino Aalto series are suitable for any occasion, whether a formal dinner party or a child's birthday party. The Aino Aalto glass series was awarded the gold medal at the Triennale in Milan in 1936.
