Like the name giving bird, the lamp flies up and creates a new ceiling lighting system. The white arm carries the classic diffusor, as if it was a branch, spreading indirect light downwards, brightening the lampshade indirectly. This creates a diffused room lighting. The screen sits like a bird on the arm, which is the reason for Birdie.
The spontaneous, natural and friendly presence of the Birdie light influences also the appearance of the ceiling lamp from Foscarini. The arm of the Birdie ceiling light can be positioned freely, to rotate the screen of the lamp. The birdie ceiling is available with one arm, as well as with multiple arms and diffusers (three, six or nine).
The base of the Birdie ceiling lamp designed by Ludovica and Roberto Palomba is made of painted steel, while the diffuser is made of dyed polycarbonate. The ceiling lamp is available in various colours.
Meanwhile Foscarini has expanded the number of Birdies to a whole collection, which includes a table lamp, a floor lamp and a wall lamp. Especially the combination of different Birdies looks very attractive.
