Expressive floor lamp
The designer Marc Sadler created the sculptural lamps collection Tress for Foscarini inspired by the seductive shape of a female plait. The lamp encourages the interplay of light and shadows with the braided lampshade and the diffuse light it spreads.
Light & shadows
The design of the Tress floor lamp is made of braided stripes of fibreglass and artificial resin, with a random order, resulting in an arbitrary network when combined. The cable is woven into the net of different surfaces. This is how the cable is an immanent part of the lamp.
The special structure of the lamp and the shade results in a unique interplay of light and shadows. The light is therefore adaptable to different situations and atmospheres, since it is variably dimmable. Two light sources, at the top and the bottom, let Tress shine from the inside as well as to the ceiling with a semi-diffuse light.
Material & colours
The Tress floor lamp by Foscarini is made out of a connection material of lacquered fibreglass. Available in two sizes and different colours: white, black and red, the Tress floor lamp can be discretely elegant, masculine or have a fiery appearance.
