Description

Even before 1900, an unknown designer created one of the first designs for lighting fixtures for electric light bulbs, a hanging lamp consisting of a chrome-plated tube with an opal sphere. It was used in interiors by many architects, such as Peter Behrens, Adolf Loos or Josef Hoffmann.

In the Bauhaus there were similar designs by Marianne Brandt and Hans Przyrembel. In the 20s and 30s, this lamp was produced in large quantities and was preferably used in schools and offices.

The light source is a conventional E27 incandescent lamp, but EVG lamps can also be used from a diffuser size of 30 centimetres.
