Description

Design Lamp in Glass

The Block Lamp is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) since 2000. It was designed by Harri Koskinen in 1996 and its LED version makes it perfect for the future. Its objective charm and pleasant light distribution are just some of the features that make the lamp fascinating.

LED Glass Lamp

The LED Block Lamp is made of hand-casted clear glass, which is processed in a complex cool-down process. This is what gives the lamp the illusionary appeal of a massive ice block. Both glass halves perfectly enclose the (E 14) bulb to ensure an atmospheric illumination on the table or the floor.

Award-winning Design

The lamp has been showered with numerous design awards since it was first presented by Design House Stockholm. Some of the awards include the Excellent Swedish Design (1998), the Design Plus Award (1999) and the prize for the Best New Product on the Accent Show in New York (1999) just to name a few. The Block Lamp is a true design lamp and a real eye-catcher in any living room.
