Table Lamp with Petals
Watching this lamp makes you feel like it was springtime. The small petals curl in the direction of the light sphere of the Blom as if it was the shining sun. The base of the table lamp from FontanaArte thereby looks like the flowers’ stem.
Blom is the name of the small sun worshiper. The lamp was designed by Andreas Engesvik for FontanaArte. The light intensity of the table lamp is adjustable by moving the petals, and it can also be directed into different spots. The shade itself is made of opal white polyethylene, which spreads light softly and diffusely.
FontanaArte Blom: direct and indirect light
Even watched directly, the light of the Blom is pleasant, since the satined diffusor makes the beam absolutely glare-free. This is how the unusual table lamp can also be used as reading light for example, while it spreads indirect light when the “leaves” are turned, becoming a wonderful light that emphasizes single details or the corner of a room.
The “petals” of the Blom are made of polycarbonate and the base of aluminium. Blom is available in different colours. The lamp was honoured with the Red Dot Award because of its design.
