Spaceship Enterprise has landed. Or has it? – No, this is the Fontana table lamp. The futuristic design still looks as modern as ever – even though it was designed in 1954.
Created in the 50s by Max Ingrand for FontanaArte, the table lamp still meets our definition of a futuristic design. Thanks to its homogeneous colour, Fontana emits a soft, diffuse light, that also illuminates the base of the lamp and creates a relaxed environment.
The light can be switched from double to triple (depending on the edition), so that a different light can be generated depending on the environment and mood. This makes Fontana particularly versatile because it is glare-free and can be used as a reading light as well as for accent lighting .
The frame of the table lamp Fontana is made of painted metal. The shade and base are made from mouth-blown, satin-finish glass. The table lamp by FontanaArte is available in three different sizes.
