The Menu Peek table lamp was designed by the Swedish designer Jonas Wagell. The table lamp has many practical qualities, like the dimmer and the tray.
The floor lamp should complete the sofa which has been designed by Wagell some years aho. “I find it that floor lamps often are big and quite dominant in interiors.”, explained the designer. “I needed a lamp which was small and humble and simply “popped up” where you needed some light. The Peek lamp has a heavy base with a long slender stem and a shade which gracefully peeks over the back of a sofa or armchair.”

The Peek table lamp accords to floor lamps regarding the shape and silhouette, but with smaller proportions. The lamp by Menu is suitable to be used as reading lamp, desk lamp or as lamp on the bedside table. The base of the table lamp has a concave top, which serves as bowl for desk articles, earphones, jewellery or other small items, and the top of the neck is used as dimmer.
Jonas Wagell explains about his design: “Although the form derives from a functional requirement I believe it’s important that the lamp has a clear and personal expression. I strive to create simplistic objects and products that are intuitive and easy to understand. In essence, the Peek lamps only consist of three parts – base, stem and shade. The form is reduced to a necessity and the expression becomes iconic.”
