Movable ceiling light with ball joint
The Aaro LED ceiling light from DCW is literally all about the sphere. The designer Simon Schmitz wanted to create a light with the most flowing movements possible, which immediately led him to the sphere. This was so wonderfully suited because with a sphere as a joint there are no limited directions. And so everything in Aaro - the geometry, the balance, the friction - comes down to the sphere.
The end result is a light object that seems to be moved by the wind: the slender arms rotate effortlessly around their centerpiece, like planets circling around each other. With Aaro, Simon Schmitz makes a luminaire float, making it the ideal source of illumination above desks, armchairs and dining tables.
Aluminium and steel
DCW manufactures the Aaro luminaire from anodised aluminium and steel. The LEDs emit warm white light (2700 K).
Aaro is also available as wall luminaire , which is mounted on a vertical wall.
