There is a lot of interesting details behind the "simplicity" of the Absolute Lights series: The carbon rod of the lamp can be smoothly swivelled in all directions around its pivoting point.

Moreover, the ingenious fixing allows of the lamp head allows it to be smoothly rotated. Inside the head there is a carefully elaborated round element made of stainless steel acting as reflector. The Absolut Lamp has a special in-built electronic dimmer. You can turn the light on and off and also dim it by touching it slightly.

The Absolut floor lamp was designed by Michael Rösing.

... but admittedly only until you've aligned them once. It is unfortunately not clear to me at which part I should touch the lamp without activating the dimmer. Once you have the light head in position (and many positions are possible due to the flexibility of the construction) it makes for a pleasant light and is also easy to operate. I particularly like the very restrained design, although the black stand, which gives the lamp an 80s touch, disturbs me a bit. But I simply helped him with aluminium spray from the DIY store. It's also nice that in comparison to the older predecessors I own, no loud humming of the transformer can be heard when dimming the model.
