Floor lamp with lampshade as on/off switch
With the Switch floor lamp from Oluce the Japanese designer Nendo takes up the form of the classic lampshade again by reworking both the materials and the function. The use of metal transforms the archetypal shape of the cylindrical lampshade while combining its function as a diffuser with that of a "switch". The luminaire is switched on and off and also dimmed by turning the lampshade. This is where the name of the luminaire comes from. It inseparably combines form and function, aesthetics and functionality and thus becomes a functional eye-catcher in the living area.
The floor lamp provides direct and indirect light and is ideal next to an armchair in the living room or as atmospheric lighting in a corner.
