Floor lamp with steel wire frame
The Wire floor lamp by Verpan is a design by the Danish designer Verner Panton from the year 197 2. . The lamp has a twisted steel wire frame, which reminds of a spring and therefore looks light and airy. The frame ends in a hemispherical plastic screen under which a metal reflector is hidden. The luminaire emits a soft, diffuse light that immerses the room in a cosy atmosphere.
The shape of the lamp is reminiscent of a light bulb and thus becomes a real eye-catcher. Verner Panton was known for his extravagant designs, the play with shapes, colors and materials. The Wire floor lamp clearly bears the designer's signature and is part of his successful furniture and lighting collection.
The Wire lamp is also available as a table lamp.
