The Dokka pendant luminaire from Northern is a small luminaire with a great history. Already designed in 1954 by Birger Dahl, it was the first lamp from Norway to be awarded a gold medal at the famous Triennale di Milano. Thanks to the soft contours and high-quality materials, the luminaire quickly became a classic and is still one of the best-selling pendant luminaires in Norway today.
In 2007, Northern brought the luminaire back onto the market, combining timeless design with innovative and modern technology. The luminaire is made of hard-wearing painted steel with a brass ring. It is available in various colours and adapts perfectly to many room situations. Arranged above the dining table or a side table in the living room, the luminaire becomes an eye-catcher and distributes the light in a pleasant way. The lamp is named after the Norwegian town Dokka in the province Oppland.
