Description

Paper Lamp A26

The light of an Akari shines like the light of the sun that is filtered through a Shoji paper. The magic of paper transforms the cool electricity back into the eternal light of the sun. So that their warmth can continue to fill our rooms even at night, says designer Isamu Noguchi.

As part of Vitra's Akari Light Sculpture series, Model A is a light, traditional Shoji paper handcrafted in Japan. The term Akari, chosen by designer Noguchi, means brightness, light but also lightness.

High-quality pendant luminaire made of natural paper

The paper pendant luminaire from Vitra radiates a natural charm through the natural material of the shade and can be equipped and combined with different light sources so that light quality, brightness and temperature can be individually determined. Depending on whether you want to place the light in the bedroom, above the dining table or elsewhere in the living area.
