BBQ Smoking Chips made of Whiskey Barrels
The Cook in Wood whiskey BBQ smoking chips are especially suitable for lamb, chicken, pork and fish and unfold their special flavour when heated: on the charcoal grill, gas grill or wood-burning stove.
Sweet & Spicy Aroma
Whiskey is made from fermented grains such as barley, wheat, rye or sweetcorn. The oak wood absorbs the distinctive whiskey aroma and stores it for many years. When grilling, the smoking chips unfold their full flavour and pass on their sweet and at the same time spicy aroma to the grilled food. The special smoky flavour is ideally suited for fish and seafood. Especially salmon develops a great aroma. But also gambas or pork tenderloin work well for this smoked flavour.
Natural Flavour for the BBQ
Cook in Wood does not only recycle the oak barrels and is thus environmentally friendly, but the taste of outstanding wines and spirits is passed on in special ways. Thanks to a special process by Cook in Wood, the formative culinary characteristics such as taste and flavour are retained over months and years in the smoking wood chunks. Quite the contrast to artificially scented or flavoured products, effect of which evaporates quickly.
Soak the desired amount of aromatic wood chips in water for at least 30 to maximum of 60 minutes and pour the excess water off before filling the chips in a perforated grill or smoking bowl. They are suitable for a gas grill as well as for a charcoal grill. The smoking chips are made of oak staves from whiskey barrels of American oak from world-famous whiskey distilleries.
