Barbecue Chips with Cognac Flavour
The Cook in Wood Cognac BBQ smoking chips are especially suited for vegetables, beef, pork and shellfish and unfold their fruity aroma during heating: on the charcoal grill, gas grill or wood-burning stove.
Fruity Aroma for Grilled Meat
Only the white grapes are used for the production of cognac, which grow near the town of Cognac in France. Cognac develops a special aroma and a full-bodied flavour, because it has to mature for at least two years in oak barrels. The cognac flavoured smoking chips give the food a velvety aroma and an extraordinarily fine and distinctive taste.
The smoking chips are made of oak staves from traditional Cognac barrels made of French, American and European oak. The cognac itself matures in vineyards in France.
Special Aroma Process
Cook in Wood does not only recycle the oak barrels and is thus environmentally friendly, but the taste of the outstanding wines and spirits is not lost but finds a new use. Thank to a special process by Cook in Wood, the formative culinary characteristics such as taste and flavour are retained over months and years in the smoking wood chunks. Quite the contrast to artificially scented or flavored products, the effect of which evaporates quickly.
