Smoked Wood for the Grill
With the smoking wood made of staves of American oak barrels that were used for the production of wines and spirits, grilling meat, fish, vegetables and shellfish turns into a culinary experience. Cook in Wood uses only smoking wood made of oak barrels, in which over the years the aroma of wine and spirits deeply penetrated into the wood and will be given to the food when heated.
Aromatic BBQ Food
The barbecue wood to 100% stems from staves of barrique barrels of American oak, which were used in the manufacture of wines and spirits. The powerful blend of flavours of red wine, whiskey, brandy, fino, red wine, whiskey and Andalusian specialities give the food a distinctive flavour.
Special Aroma Process
Cook in Wood does not only recycle the oak barrels and is thus environmentally friendly, also the taste of outstanding wines and spirits will be passed on in a special way. Thank to a special process by Cook in Wood, the formative culinary characteristics such as taste and flavour are retained over months and years in the smoking wood chunks. Quite the contrary to artificially scented or flavoured products, the effect of which evaporates quickly.
Heat the charcoal to grilling temperature and place 4-5 pieces of the oak staves (or more - depending on the size of the BBQ) on the hot embers. We recommend to prepare the staves by soaking them for about 15-30 minutes in water, in order to achieve more intense smoke and taste. Also, you can also replace your charcoal completely with the stave pieces. The wood keeps a constant heat for a longer period compared to charcoal and also guarantees a unique taste. Take out the desired amount of wood and place it in the fireplace of the grill. Light the wood and wait about 30 - 35 minutes, until the wood fire has burned to embers.
