The Flux Chair from Skagerak is an outdoor chair, whose elegant shape was designed by Jonas Hermann Pedersen.
Pedersen gave the Flux series from Skagerak a delicate and still appearance which appears far less heavy than most other wooden furniture. It is the thin metal legs in particular which make the Skagerak Flux Chair appear lightweight and charming. The Danish designer chose teak wood as the main material which, as always for Skagerak, is excellently processed and FSC-certified.
Teak is hard, stable and very easy to process. At the same time, the wood is characterised by a unique content of naturally occurring oils which make the wood resistant to rot and fungus. This means the Skagerak Flux Chair can be placed outdoors throughout the whole year, without requiring further treatments except regular cleaning. Those who would like to preserve the beautiful colours of the wood and would like a darker shade, can treat the furniture with oil.
To match the chair, Skagerak also offers the Flux Table.
