The Gerda stool by Skagerak is a practical outdoor seat designed by Included Middle. Besides the stool, the Gerda series also includes a table. Included Middle were inspired by the iconic checkered tablecloth.
Inspired by the checkered tablecloth
By transferring form and pattern to a metal construction with a perforated surface, the duo has found a way to reinterpret the Nordic camping atmosphere in a modern expression. The colours of the table and stool in powder-coated aluminium also represent the melancholy, infinite depth of the Nordic sky, which never completely darkens in summer.
