The Quadratic One has an equal length and width: The shape reminds us of a flat fruit crate or a high-sided tray, but it fascinates us due to its thick-walled edge.
The smooth silhouette of amei’s quadratic pots makes them ideal decorative objects for sideboards and counters, perfect for presenting Easter or Christmas adornments, or for use as a compact herb garden on the kitchen work surface. By the way:
You can use amei planters for your room plants without any modification – you do not need a water drain hole. Amei planters are naturally beautiful and extremely robust.
They are made of the technically sophisticated composite stone fibre – a mixture of polyester resin and ground stone. Additional fibreglass stands ensure especially high stability. On the one hand, the amei planters fascinate through their high-quality mineral look, which develops a natural, grey patina on the black models after a few months. On the other hand, stone fibre is shock-resistant and frost-resistant.
The containers thus can survive smaller plunges; tipping over during storms and winters out on exterior shelves are not a problem. In direct comparison to stone and clay pots, they score points thanks to their minimal material thickness with a clearly reduced weight that makes handing the planters easier. If the amei plant containers are used outside and stay in the rain unprotected, please add water drain holes on the bottom using a drill or a commercially available stone driller. Otherwise, the roots will rot due to the accumulating water in the pot.
More details:
We would like to point out that small traces on the surface, unevenness and a slight fading of the material are part of the natural, but also intentional characteristics of the stone fibre material. All amei planters are individually handmade, so that these traces are a condition of the product. However, they are easily removed with some household oil or shoe polish.
