Its natural-seeming shapes and considerable size make the Bdlove planter by designer Ross Lovegrove a spectacular plant pot with the qualities of a bench.
In addition to a seating area on one side, the planter offers space for a considerable amount of soil, which you can then add plants to in many ways. Bdlove is not just an another flower pot, but more reminiscent of a small island which you can spend a few quiet minutes on, close to nature.
The planter is designed to be filled with sand. This ensures a high degree of stability when it is filled and makes it easy to transport when empty. Several planters can also be stacked on top of each other for easier transport.
Bdlove is waterproof and can also be used outside. For indoor set-ups, the sophisticated automatic, patented irrigation system by Hobby Flower is offered as an addition.
The planter is part of the Bdlove Collection by Spanish manufacturer BD Barcelona. With this collection, which also includes a plants pot, a bench, a lamp and a bin, Ross Lovegrove has proven once again why he is one of the highest-profile ‘New Naturalism’ designers.
Lovegrove's understanding of materials and production methods meets Bdlove's natural inspiration. The results are spectacular objects, which combine wonderfully soft and moulded shapes with nice colours and display their likeable character in and outside.
The Bdlove planter is also available in other versions.
