In 2009, Dirk Wynants designed Alea – a large planter with a special something. While other planters of this size are nearly unmovable on account of their weight and other pots on rollers aren’t very attractive, Alea combines functionality with great appearance: the simple pot designed with high quality possesses a rolling, invisible base.
If you want to move the pot, it is enough to lift and turn it by 20 cm: the pot sits on its frame and can be moved easily. Moreover there is a water container integrated into Alea, ensuring that plants get enough water.
The Alea pot is made out of fibreglass-reinforced polyester, and the frame is galvanised. The manufacturer Extremis offers the pot in red, ivory, white, grey and black.
