These double-walled glasses were designed by Masato Yamamoto for Bodum. The glasses exist in three product lines: Canteen, Pavina and Assam. The glass series Canteen and Pavina were awarded the Red Dot Design Award.

These double-walled glasses have a lot of advantages in comparison with common, single-wall glasses:

  • hot drinks can be held in the hand without handle
  • there is no condensation water on the glass surface regarding cold drinks
  • the drinks remain warm for a longer time than in single-wall glasses

One presumes that the inventor of the stemmed glass was inspired by the idea of wine hovering in the air. The double-walled glasses by Bodum represent another way to make your drink hover.

Good glasses that are great for tea without burning your fingers. Insulates well and also keeps tea warm much longer.
