Started as seasoning pot, Plint is also a snack bowl and candleholder now.
According to the designer Bent Krebs Plint was designed, because he loves to cook with spices and because he likes to have them visible around. He is always impressed by how attractive objects can be, when they were invented to be merely functional.
Usually, spices are hidden in ugly black plastic pots, with herbs looking out of them. Bent Krebs wanted to change that appearance with his Plint-Series: "Herbs stand nicely positioned on the table and they are an adornment."
Plint became popular in an instant. Thanks to the big creativity of the customers, Plint can be used for many different things: snacks can be served in them, office articles can be stored in them, and they also even become candleholders or preparation bowls.
In Christmas time, Plint can be used as modern advent wreath, for example: It holds four candles and ignores Christmas kitsch on a fresh and minimalistic way.
The pots are made of white ceramic, while their support is made of teak wood, which is a plain, and optically pleasant completion to the white colour of the pots. Also in our blog:
