"Form follows function" is the design guideline for designers and architects. With this principle in the back of their minds, the Finnish designer Kaj Franck created his dish collection in 1952.
Entitled by the manufacturer Iittala itself as "meaningful simplicity", Teema renounces any ornamentation and decorations and is only reduced on the necessary. Circle, square, and rectangle are the basic forms, which Kaj Franck found so irresistible, that Teema made an independent collection.
One of the most famous services of Scandinavia
Plain elegance and versatility characterize the dishes collection and make it one of the most famous services in Scandinavia. Teema is non-freezing, oven-proof and it can be put in microwaves and dish washers. It can be combined with other dishes, ensuring an endless row of innovative and colourful tables.
With Teema you will not get the "squaring of the circle", but the undisputed classic, whose geometric shape is displayed in many design museums of the world.
This variant of the Teema dishes in pearl grey is a wonderful fulfil for the existing colours selection.
