Classic dinnerware set to the anniversary
In terms of china, Philip Rosenthal was a real pioneer. Among other series, we owe the Studio Line to his visionary thinking and his interest for future classics. On the occasion of his 100th birthday, an anniversary set will now appear with the classics of the collections: Suomi, TAC and Moon.
Timo Sarpaneva for Rosenthal
Early interested in collaboration with artists, designers and architects, in 1976 a successful cooperation with the Finnish designer Timo Sarpaneva resulted in the Suomi tableware series.
Sarpaneva is known for his concentration on the essentials and impresses in this design with elegance and simplicity. For the simple, organic forms of the crockery he was inspired by the smooth pebbles of the Finnish coast, which gives the series its name. The set presents itself perfectly shaped and sovereign for which Sarpaneva was rightfully awarded with the Gold Medal of Faenza - the highest award for porcelain. Even today, Suomi is among the most successful dishes of the Rosenthal Studio-Line.
The 8-piece Anniversary Set is available in two different versions. Both include 2 dining plates, 2 soup bowls and 2 breakfast plates. There are also 2 cereal bowls or 2 mugs with handle as a special gift.
