"Form follows function" – this is probably the most well-known motto for designers and architects. In 1952 the Finnish designer Kaj Franck created the tableware collection Teema based on this principle.
The designer himself calls Teema an “essential simplification“ because he avoided using excessive ornaments and reduced Teema to the essential. The Teema collection is based on familiar and basic shapes – a circle, a square and a rectangle – which Kaj Franck found so irresistible that he took them as main topics when creating Teema.
The tableware collection is notable for its simple elegance and its versatility, which make it one of the most sought-after sets of the world. Teema is frost and heat-resistant as well as microwave and dishwasher-safe. It can be combined brilliantly with other tableware sets and thus allows you to create a broad range of colourful and innovative dishes.
Teema is one of Scandinavia’s most highly appreciated collections, an undisputed classic and can be found in a number of design museums worldwide.
The whole Teema collection or parts of it are also available in blue, brown or olive green.
