Alexander Girard was one of the most influential people of American post-war design, being an architect, designer and graphic designer. Many of the colourful graphic designs by Alexander Girard, originally made for Herman Miller, are printed on selected furniture, home accessories and textiles today.
Vitra chose some designs in cooperation with the Girard family, which manages the heritage of the Studio Girard, for the Vitra Home Complements Collection to be re-edited.
The Classic Trays wear six of the most famous designs of Alexander Girard. One of them is the graphic pattern “Grid”. This one is a practical helper setting colourful accents in home or dining rooms. The serving tray of Vitra always looks gorgeous.
The tray can be combined with other editions of the Vitra trays collection. This is how interesting colour collages and a practical serving sets emerge combining the patterns. They are ideally suitable for the breakfast table, parties or as interesting colour accents.
The trays should only be washed by hand, since they are made of laminated plywood.
