A glass, which is equally suitable for water and wine: This glass by Menu already shows what it was made for with its name. What seems so simple, has a long history of development.
Over twenty prototypes of the Water / Wine carafe were created during the design process to test the flow of wine and obtain the maximum aeration. Why is this concept of glass adapted for both, water and wine? The glasses are thicker at their base. This serves for keeping the temperature of the wine when people hold the glass – which it the reason why other wine glasses have a long stem.
The simple shape of the Water / Wine glasses make them suitable for all the other drinks, including water, juices, milk and more. Furthermore, Benjamin Hubert’s glasses are stackable, which makes it easy to store and transport them.
Menu produces the Water / Wine glasses out of mouth-blown glass. There is also a water / wine carafe available, suiting the glasses. One more clever detail: The W/W glasses also fit in the pourer of the carafe so that everything can be stacked and stored together.
