The patented decanting pourer Selection by Menu ventilates filters and divides the wine. The idea behind the refined interior structure of the pourer was coined by the Danish inventor Torben Flanbaum; the pretty shape was given by Martin Sonne.

One says that Torben Flanbaum saw a TV show about wine when he had the idea of solving the huge problem of decanting wine. Inspired by the Venturi tube by the Italian physician G. B. Venturi, he developed the decanting pourer with which wine is enriched with air on its way from the bottle into the glass. Furthermore the wine is improved by its division with a sieve of eight gaps.

Even a cheap everyday wine will be noticeably improved with the decanting pourer by Menu, and wine enthusiasts will be delighted by this kind of ventilation that improves the enjoyment of even high class wines.

Since the invention in 1999, the patented Menu decanting pourer has been highly recognized inland and abroad. It has also been awarded with the branch prize “best novelty” on the “Gave & Interior Fair” in Norway in 1999, with the delighting explanation: ”The decanting pourer is innovative, it solves decanting problems and makes it easier to serve wine with a simple and appealing design.”
