Created by designer Erwan Bouroullec, it transforms entire wall surfaces into an atmospheric light installation.
The Maap W2 is part of the large-format Maap -series and is positioned as a middle variant between W1 and W3. With its imposing size of around 240 × 155 cm, it looks like a luminous wall surface and is particularly suitable for spacious rooms or architectural concepts.
The innovative construction is characteristic: a metal structure with several light sources supports an ultra-light diffuser made of technical fiber fabric, which is attached magnetically. This is deliberately crumpled by hand, giving each luminaire a unique, organic shape.
The light is diffused and evenly distributed over the entire surface, creating a soft, immersive lighting effect. Instead of punctual lighting, the Maap creates a "cloud of light" that atmospherically envelops the room.
Equipped with several E27 bulbs (not included), the W2 version offers a powerful yet pleasant lighting effect. The combination of technology and free design makes it a unique object somewhere between a luminaire and an art installation.
Thanks to its modular concept, the Maap series can be used individually or as a large-scale installation. This allows individual lighting landscapes to be created that go far beyond classic lighting.
With the Flos Maap W2 wall light, you are opting for an extraordinary design object that combines light, material and creative freedom at the highest level - ideal for modern, architecturally sophisticated rooms.

Wall light - Large-format lighting design with the Flos Maap W3 wall light

The Maap W3 wall light from Flos is the largest and most impressive version of the Maap -series and transforms walls into luminous, sculptural surfaces. Designed by Erwan Bouroullec, it represents a radical new understanding of light as an atmospheric spatial element instead of spot lighting.
Characteristic of the Maap W3 is characterized by its unusual structure: a cross-shaped metal structure supports an ultra-light, paper-like diffuser that is attached magnetically. This is deliberately crumpled by hand, giving each luminaire a unique, organic surface - no two are the same.
With an impressive width of up to approx. 320 cm, the W3 version is one of the largest designer wall lights and is specially designed for spacious rooms or architectural installations. Despite its size, the light material gives it a surprisingly soft, almost cloud-like effect in the room.
The lighting effect is diffuse and planar: instead of direct lighting, it creates a uniform, glare-free ambient light that envelops the entire room in an atmospheric way. This concept turns the Maap a "lightscape" that is experienced rather than just used.
Equipped with up to 12 E27 bulbs, the W3 offers a high light output and can be flexibly controlled with LED bulbs and an external dimmer.
The combination of experimental material, free design and technical precision makes the luminaire a unique object between art installation and functional lighting. Designed by Konstantin Grcic, it stands for the fusion of technical precision and poetic lighting design.
Characteristic of the Nocturne is the interplay of hand-blown borosilicate glass and a clear, industrial-looking aluminum structure. This deliberate contrast between handcrafted lightness and technical precision gives the luminaire its special aesthetic tension.
The lighting effect is just as well thought out as the design: the integrated LED technology generates both directional light and a soft, diffuse ambient light. This creates a warm, almost moon-like atmosphere that subtly illuminates the room without dazzling.
Depending on the version - with a conical or hemispherical diffuser, for example - the lighting effect can be individually adjusted. The luminaire is ideal as accent lighting in the living room, as a stylish bedside lamp or as a graphic element in corridors and larger wall surfaces.
The Nocturne is part of a modular luminaire family that has emerged from the further development of the well-known Noctambule series. It combines modern LED engineering with high design standards and enables flexible lighting solutions for different room concepts.
With its clear, minimalist design language and special quality of light, the Flos Nocturne wall light becomes a sculptural highlight in the room - ideal for anyone who wants to use light not only functionally, but also atmospherically and creatively.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0959/1760/5208/files/Flos-Nocturne-Wandleuchte-Schale-EU-silber.jpg?v=1791844441
